Gala Dinner

Last night Bayu and I met up with Nat and Doca to have dinner (we've been doing that quite often now). We met at Jurong Point (One of the places on My List which I shall blog about later...see, I'm serious about blogging again..=p). After our dinner we went to the supermarket (Fair Price) and we saw some cassava leaves. They wanted some and Bayu and I wanted some too but there was only 3 packs left. So it was agreed that Bayu would cook his Indonesian cassava leaves food for dinner.

So today I tidied up the house because they were going to be the first official guests for an official dinner in our home! I helped Bayu cook and I made the refreshments.

This is how Bayu made the appointment with Nat and Doca. He sent them this SMS: YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO OUR CASSAVA LEAF GALA DINNER AT [OUR ADDRESS] AT 7.30 PM. PLEASE RSVP.

This was Doca's reply: ALRIGHT.WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE? HEE. I RESERVE FOR 2. SEE YA.

So we started our dinner at around 8...and ate...and ate...then talked...and talked...until almost 10.

It was a fun night. I'm glad I'm emotionally ready to make friends, invite them for dinner, and write in my blog!

The Head Chef

Main ingredients: Cassava leaves and that whole bowl of chopped chili.

We had 2 main dishes made from the same basic ingredients. 1.) Boil the cassava leaves 2.)chop and stir fry chili, lemon grass, onion, tumeric, salt, ginger, lime juice, tomato 3.) lay the boiled cassava leaves on a tray put the chili paste (which is all that chopped and stir fried stuff) on the leaves put a layer of smashed tofu, a layer of sliced egg plant and a final layer of the chilli paste. 4.) Put in oven for 30 minutes

The 2nd dish was for us non-veg people which included fish inbetween the layers of leaves and chili paste and same oven procedure.

We also made Sambal Kecap which is a mix of tomatoes, chili, onions, lime and the black, thick, sweet soy sauce for enhancing the taste of the whole meal.

I usually sleep around midnight but tonight I couldn't sleep at all! I wasn't able to do the who Rapid Eye Movement thingie..hehe. And now it is 5.22 am. When I realized it was pointless "trying" to sleep I just got online.

I miss my previous blog template and this cute one isn't working for me because some (alot actually) functions don't work. So now I'm spending my early morning hours looking for another template.

Oh..Oh..yeah in 12 days I'll be seeing family and giving them a tour of the Singapore I know! I totally lost the habit of taking pictures to put on the blog...aarrgghh...soon soon.

Well, even though I've been awake all night I don't have to worry about getting up for work or trying to stay awake at work. =P

But my sleeping pattern/habit is just so haywire....

Okay Y'all have a nice week...

Blogspot Status

Just like facebook

Lerie Grace is.....

Feeling unwell from dunno what! Well, it could be the Mt.Everest of laundry I had to fold and the Mt. Fuji of clothes I had to wash and hand on the ceiling. All the stretching of my arms folding and hanging clothes has taken it's toll. Not to mention the crazy sleep hours and eating habits. Aaarrgghh.

I need a massage!

Anyways, It's gonna get more tiring as I try to clean the house spotless before my family comes in a few weeks.

Oh and I got a job offer! If ( I will, I should, I might) I accept it I'll finally have some form of a life! Yayz!

I'm going to do a small speech/sermon on the "Gift of Relationship" (love and courtship) to the huge Balestier Filipino AY group this Saturday. I'm also scheduled to teach different Sabbath school classes for the rest of the year. Ha!

I have 3 congregating pimples on my right cheek.

Oh and I think I need to post some pictures up here soon..duhhhh.

=)

Also reading Soul Survivor by Philip Yancey.
And also reading Your Struggling Child by Robert F. Newby.
For the 100th time reading Marley and Me by John Grogan.
Wide awake because I had a long nap from 11 am to 4.30 Pm (I woke up at 9 am)
I need to shower from doing laundry, washing a big bucket of dishes, and cleaning house.
Still waiting for my "proper pass" to come out so I can be here in peace.
Still need to get Bayu's birthday present.
