Saturday Evening

Saturday evening a bunch of us went to watch and take pictures of the rehearsal for Singapore's National Day Parade.

They have been rehearsing for a few weeks and they rehearse like the real thing with fireworks and all.

It is definitely better to come during rehearsal than the real day because it gets a hundred thousand times more crowded.

Term 3 Excursion

I brought the K1A kids in their excursion last Friday.

Their teacher sprained her ankle so I was in charge.

It was fun and it's good I know the kids because I teach them computer.

It was SUPER tiring though. I'm going to be doing it again next week for another teacher and another class.

We went to the Garden by the Bay. A new place that just opened. It's like an indoor garden in 2 domes. The kids were learning about plants.

I was privileged to be able to be one of the first from my friends to go in because it's pretty expensive but the school paid for me.

Of course I was too busy keeping my eye on the kids to really enjoy it :D

Latest Book

Today I made the latest book with my enrichment class students.

God has been helping me in this area! We discussed what they life about their home and Singapore.

I wrote down their answers. Tey decorated their own home in one I the kids websites. Thy also decorated a birthday cake for Singapore. They typed out and chose the font and and color of the title.

They printed everything then I helped them assemble the book and yet decorated it with stickers.

It was fun to watch them. I think they had fun :D

Yo Tweezerman!

I was shopping with my girls Sonya and Rochael when I came across a shop selling tweezers (among other things).

Sonya said she had read good reviews and they had samples for us to try.

I had just lost my cheepo tweezers and I desperately needed one. I use it to tweeze my eyebrows as I feel they can get pretty bushy. Haha.

They were really expensive (SGD21)! But I have been in search of good tweezers all my life (felt like all my life anyways). So I bought it.

I do not regret! It takes out even the tiniest hair with minimum pain and no redness!

Previously I would tear up and the pain would feel like I just stubbed my toe against a chair. I had to put all sorts of cooling lotions to prevent and Soothe the redness.

Now that this quest is done I am now on another quest to look for the perfect nail cutter....

The cheepo ones I have make my nails crack big time!

There have been times I really though what I was asked was impossible!

But I know and I thank God that he has seen me through and so many times the impossible has become possible.

Hello my friends!

My friend and fellow blogger Min Min just published a new blog.

Somehow, I also have a new blog! LOL.

For quite some time I feel like all I've been blogging about in this blog is just running running running....for those who don't do the whole running things it's probably like "blehhh"....

So I decided last month to come up with a blog to post about my running craze.  I didn't really get around to doing it until Min Min haha then I decided to work on my blog and now it's up and running.

That blog will focus mainly on my training for my full marathon....and other running things which might just be "blehhhh" here in my personal blog if I keep talking about it day in an day out :P

Hahahah my beloved friend Elsye is now married! To man she loves and a man who loves her. I'm super happy for her. As happy as I am, I am sad I couldn't make it to her wedding.

Congratulations and celebration!!!

I've known her a year or 2 before I went I Mission College. I was her suitmate, roommate, classmate, partner on crime etc.

I am so glad this day has finally come for her.

Pocari Sweat Run 2012

Today I ran in the city. A new area that just opened - Gardens by the Bay. The view was great but I was concentrating on running too much haha.

It was Charm's first 10k and race. It will be my last 10k for this year. Not that I don't have any more races lines up but the other races coming up are longer distances.

Train train train! I need to continue training.

My enrichment class kids were learning about their favorite things and I helped them to make a book with pictures of their favorite things which they downloaded from office.com

Missing Home & Family

Last night I had a dream that I went out with my family to eat.  We had so much fun as always.

I woke up missing them more than ever.  I really dislike this long distance.

I miss them all.... :'(

This Topic Again

Yes yes everything has been about running lately on this blog - I can't help it!

I didn't mention that the race last Sunday was my fastest 10K so far or me :D

Just 4 minutes difference but worth a celebration!

1year

Today is my anniversary with Running.

I have loved it and I have also hated it. Some days I feel like the poster I will post below.

But mostly I love it. It has changed me and my life in ways I never thought of.

I hope I have inspired some people along the way.

I really didn't imagine my body could be capable of what it has been doing so far.

I Want!

These are the latest version of my current shoes which I love!

I use the Asics Gel Nimbus 13.

In the picture i took Fromm Runners's World Magazine is Asics Gel Nimbus 14.

I don't think I will or can ever buy another brand/type.

I really need shoes with cushioning and this is it. I mean I had Runners's knees until I bought these shoes.

I'm glad I found the right pair of shoes for me.

The weather was perfect, the route was great, I felt great except for the side stitches.

Baby Dedication
