Youth and Young Adults

The youth was in charge of the main service one Sabbath.  It turned out really well.  Was proud of them.

We started our Young Adult group this year.  Where the working young gather.  We meet once a month on Friday night.  We eat and talk and have a discussion.  I find it really meaningful for myself.  I'm glad we have it.

Bayu's Surprise Cake 2012

Bayu had a surprise birthday cake from the youth. They decorated it themselves.

There were drawings of a bible, church, a baby (yes they are hinting us haha), Lego, sword, tank... All the studs Bayu likes.

Yes, they know him pretty well! He received some cards and a gift too.

How sweet of them!

We love them lots and are always touched and surprised to see their love for us too.

The cake is a weird color because we were in a room with led lights.

Ordination 2012

Pastor Igan was ordained yesterday and so all pastors and wives and lots of church members were there for the program. The program was pretty short and sweet :)

Our youth led song service and there were lots of refreshments!

Brownie Birthday

Today is Jerome's 18th birthday and Stacia baked this really awesome cake which is actually made from brownies.

Jerome is the guy standing straight next to Bayu and Stacia is the gal next to me and my crazy face with her thumbs up ^_^

You can almost always find Jerome texting on his phone and he can SMS away without even looking at the keys he is pressing. Yes he is a pro and should join some competition haha.

Hence the mobile phone brownie :D

It was such a creative cake and it tasted so good in fact I'm salivating just remembering it....hungry now....

Titanic Day

Finally the app is working! And now I can publish the post I wrote around 2 weeks ago:...here it : :)

A small bunch of us from church went to the Titanic artifacts exhibition museum. It's going to be around for a few more weeks I think.

At the entrance we get a "boarding pass" with a real passengers name and details.


I was a Miss Dagmar Jenny Ingeborg Bryhl age 20 from Sweden. I was accompanied by brother and fiancé (their names are given on the pass). I was a 2nd class passenger.

At the end of the exhibition there were the list of names for those from the different classes who survived or lost their lives. So basically I am the passenger and at the end I get to see if I survived.
From left to right the picture above shows the list of names by 1st class, 2nd class, 3rd class & Crew. The top half are those that survived and the bottom half those who didn't make it.
I made it unfortunately my brother and fiancé didn't make it.

It was fun,fascinating, but also sad.
After that we took some pictures and ate! We were starving.
