Rainbow

The first thing I bought to motivate myself to run were a pair of addisas running shorts. I didn't even think I needed a top so just used any radom shirt.

I bought it and didn't use it until many many months later when I finally got the Couch to 5K program and dragged myself out there on July 10,2011.

Wearing the right gear for running has made it a good experience. And it really does make a difference the kind of material used. It's the kind of material that absorbs sweat away from your body.

It has also been a source of motivation for my running :D

But as I was tidying up my closet I realized I have come far from just that one running shorts! And there is more in the laundry! Haha.

I think this is enough :P

Exhausted Again

Today was out last day of our 3 day vacation Bible school.

I was at work from morning until now 10 pm.

It has been fun memorable and tiring. All of us were tired.

I feel blessed and grateful to have been the one in charge giving Bible stories and to share more of who Jesus is to the children.

I find myself saying im so "eggzosted" and trying to think of a word that described more than being exhausted then I realize I have been tired so many times but can't recall that time so i know this tiredness will go away too :)

25

I was cleaning up and tidying my closet today and decided to take a picture of my jersey.

I played basketball all my school life and even during sports day at Mission College.

I havnt played in years but it's fine I dont really like competition.

It just reminded me that one of the main reasons I started running was because in high school I used to be pretty fit training for basketball games. So I knew that I could be fit if I really wanted to.

Also unlike basketball the only competition in running is against myself. :D

Singapore Air Force Museum

Today I went with the kids for their vacation bible school to the air force museum.

It's a nice and interesting place and the first thought was that Bayu would love it here. All his model kits he has been working on we're about planes and helicopters.

So I showed him the pictures and he was so surprised and excited. He said he could spend all week there haha.

We'll make it a date to go there some time soon.

Can't wait til this week is over. My holidays will finally be here!

Another Truth

Oh how times have changed!

Meet-the-parents sessions can really make a teacher feel so inadequate even though the teacher has really done her best.

It's funny though.

Just Run

I'm the tortoise but I don't care!

10K Part 2

Bay, Frank and I joined another 10K together.

It was fun and a different experience because this time there were 12000 people joining the 10k alone altogether including 21k and 42k there were 30000 people.

The race started 11.30 and we got home almost 2am.
This picture was taken from Singapore Runner's Society facebook page.

Reward

I rewarded myself with food today haha. After the hard work of running 10k.

Guava, fish ball curry, Taiwanese seaweed rice cracker, durian puff, dragon beard. And milk tea.

The closest to street food we can get here hehe.

These were sold in stalls in the mall near my house.

True

This quote rings true in my life. Especially the first sentence.

For 2 years during appraisal at my job my bosses told me that my area of improvement would be to be more social and friendly.

Ha! If my friends and nearest fiends knew they would be what?!

Exploring

Singapore may be small but Bayu an I still manage to find new food, roads, streets and places that are interesting.

We always find these places unplanned. We just decide to eat somewhere new then after eating we walk around and end up exploring the area instead of going straight home.

It's good quality time together too.

Reminders

Yesterday on the way to a meeting I rode a bus that passed by our previous house.

The park that was under construction was open and beautiful and the church they were building is almost finished.

I enjoy passing by my previous houses because it brings back lots of memories good and bad but especially it reminds me of how God has taken care of Bayu and I all this time.

As Usual

As usual I had a busy Saturday. I played piano for church, cooked with my team for lunch, had a fun FAST session with my group then went for a Shepherdess meeting and came back home to do a little bootcamp workout.

Next Saturday won't be as busy at night I'll be running a 10k race. Can't wait.

Keirana

Welcome to the world Keira!

Look at her she is just cute and gorgeous and adorable!

A mix of our 2 wonderful friends.

Can't wait for Bayu and my turn so we can see what our combination turns out to be hahaha.

Yes may is wonderful month indeed!

May God bless this little girl and her family!

EIS

My best friends in high school. I've been a bad friend and havnt kept in touch with them. Just started catching up with them this week after I Duno 3 to 8 years??

Haha. I miss them I really do.

Red!

I couldn't resist it. I saw this red velvet cake and had to try it.

Dinu got me stuck on red velvet and been wanting to have some for a long time!

This is good but the cupcakes I tasted from Dinu ...well, this couldn't compare!

I've been wanting to bake red velvet cupcakes for some time already. Hopefully I'll get to soon.

How about it Rochael? Some day at your house. Lets plan :)

What I love about this is the cream cheese frosting.

I love chocolate and cheese!

:D

Finally back to my normal running and cross training routine after 2 weeks of recuperating :D

Like the Woman at the Well

I was running around 7k tonight and I was still around 2k away from home and I was super super thirsty (I need to drink even more during the day).

Luckily I brought some loose change with me and I saw a vending machine selling an isotonic drink.

I opened that can of drink just when a song in my player started with the words Jesus quench my thirst....

The first gorgeous sip of cooling water to my dry throat was such a wonderful indescribable feeling and yet I forgot to focus on the happiness that I wasn't thirsty at that moment anymore but that I have a God who can quench my thirst and I'll never be thirsty again!

Imagine running the marathon of life without having to be thirsty.

Jesus is the fountain of life.

I'm always so amazed at His love towards a sinner like me!

Finally!

I got to face time with my bros RJ and Nel Nel last night. They were at home baking cookies with my sister. It was great seeing them in real time and catching up.

I miss them and home alot!
