Just look at the background/food =)

You can find these water play grounds in various places around Singapore. Kids are allowed to play and get wet and there are even washrooms. It looks like so much fun.

Tree full of flowers/ flower tree!

Bayu goes up the ladder. I find a mop and hand it to him. I hold the ladder steady. Bayu swats the mangoes to the ground. We both go around picking the mangoes.

Random Shots

On the way back home from the date Bayu and I had on Sunday
May 10. 1 year since we graduated and got engaged.

Pastor Paul Raj's wife, Maria, made these home-made pickled sour mangoes
upon the request of Doca and I....mouthwatering...

Dinu recommended mee siam because it's sour. I tried it today at a hawker centre nearby home and a new eating place we hadn't tried yet.

Another date (the blessing that comes with my current unemployed status) trying some macha flavored desserts at a plaza (West Coast Plaza) near our house.

I bought an exercising mat. It had a 4 dollar discount! That's right I'm going to be a renewed person in a few weeks. No more people asking me "how many months?"...I vow to be back to the refreshed , beautiful, glowing Lerie. Not the current depressed, eating-non-stop-because-so-bored-depressed-and-stressed Lerie (I'm glad some of you can't see my current state) Muahahaha. If not for anything I want to be beautiful for BAYU!

The book stores here have load, tons, lots of great, awesome and affordable books lots of bookstores...I could spend a fortune on books. Anyways, in this picture it's not a book just a small bookle or something. My results were Administration (13pts) Counseling and Service (10pts) Leadership and Hospitality (8pts) Wisdom (7pts).

So this is the usual routine, me, bayu, food, outings, books...

Handerfly...I mean butterfly.

The night 35 kids showed up we got traumatized because it was so hard to give out instructions and materials. So Jeremy (Nat's bro), Auntie Arlene (Doca's Mom-in-law) and I sat together to discuss how we could make our next arts and craft easier for the kids and for us. They gave brilliant ideas and we all contributed our thoughts and finally... Jeremy told me to take pictures of the activity step by step for the kids to see and follow...and now you can see and follow too!

Step 1: Trace around your hands on a piece of paper.

Step 2: Trace around your hands at the bottom but with your fingers side by side.

Step 3: Decorate!

Step 4: Add the body and head to the middle part.

Step 5: Add the anttenaes or the pipe cleaners.

Step 6: Add the googlie eyes and the mouth...

Then you have a butterfly just by tracing around your hands and adding some other stuff! hihihihihi.

Oh and this last picture has nothing to do with the arts and craft. Just wanted to show off the first tom yum soup I have cooked in my life. I also made an Indonesian spicy chicken dish but I was too excited about it I ate it all up before I even thought about taking the picture...heh.

Kids, Kids, Kids

As some of you might not have heard there was an evangelistic meeting/series call Discoveries '09 held in Singapore and led by Pastor Mark Finley. Some say he's the "Michael Jackson" to SDA's..hihi. It was from April 24-May3.

Well, I didn't get to hear his talk once during the 10 night meetings. Why? Because I was in charge of the Children's Ministry 5-7 year old kids section. I had to plan all sorts of entertaining things to keep these kids occupied for 2 hours every night for 10 nights!

As you can see...I survived. Thank God I had help. I was able to take pictures of ONE activity we did. At the end of it all I can say I had fun. Haha. The first few nights we had around 25 kids. Then during the week we had around 15 kids. Then there was this one night where we had 35 kids!!! I don't even wanna talk about that night. Sure the more the merrier but also the scarier and crazier. Haha.

Here are some pictures at the end of the program when they finished they arts and craft. It was a paper plate flower hat! Check out the adorable kids in their hats!

One of the nights with fewer kids...

Kids! Call me Teacher Lerie or Jeje Lerie...not Auntie Lerie...Please...

Hehe...Thank you Auntie Doca for your help.

Even the boys loved their hats! See isn't this age wonderful?
They don't care about looking "girlie"
