Today I ate another favorite Thai dish for lunch!!!.......actually I ate
2 dishes of it but in different forms..

I ate kweteaow(noodle) (dry) AND kweteaow nham (water).

They were both equally delicious.

The Present

At the moment Bayu and I are lazing around at our home in Bangkok.

Yesterday was a busy day for us. We had the program of my parents 30th wedding anniversary and it was just like preparing for a wedding day!

We had to wake up early and do our hair and make up and dress up and figure out who was going with who in which car etc.

It was also a long awaited day since my sister and I and our husbands have been planning this for our parents for months and months.

We had dolly and shireen help with planning the program and inviting people and booking the hotel.

It was just like planning and looking forward to another wedding and my sister and i were getting excited and nervous!

More people turned up than expected despite major flooding and we even had to get an extra table!

But all went well....it was beautiful and I've never seen my parents smile so much or look so happy.

The best part was when we got home my parents said we made them 30 years younger and my dad said that it was another happiest day of his life.

My sister and I were happy to do this for them as it is just a small token of appreciation for what they have done for us.

If you havnt you can check out the pictures on facebook.

Above all thank God for blessing our family all these years and allowing us to celebrate this occasion.

Yumming Out

Saturday evening a bunch of us youth (yes I'm still youth!!) went out for dinner and hung out together afterwards too.

We got on the bus and headed for a restaurant called Annalakshmi. It's an indian restaurant where you can eat what you like, as much as you like and also pay what you feel.

Afterwards we hung out at Central in Clark quay.

Here are some picsss:

Yes the guys at this table were all eating with their hand thanks to Bayu I guess haha.

Good times :)

K.O.

I am totally knocked out.

As mentioned previously I had meet-the-parents 2 days in a row. It was my second time as a teacher And my first time as a computer teacher.

I didn't realize how tiring it would be.

From 8 am to 2.30 with a 20 minute lunch break in between I met about 80 parents each day non-stop.

By the end i felt like I ran a marathon or something.

*phew glad it's over and done with.

I survived all though it'll take me a few days to recuperate. Hehehe

Ahhh! Tomorrow!

Well, I'm on my way out from work. The past 2 week I have been leaving later than usual and all because it is coming to the end of our 2nd term and our long break is coming up. therefore- all work due!

Also, tomorrow and Friday us meet-the-parents session. I have to prepare to mean the parents of over 200 students in the next 2 days.

I needed to get their progress report done. I also had to remember the reasons why each child got the "grade" (try harder, good, very good, excellent). I also have to recall each child's behavior how they did and prepare to ask the questions parents will ask.

Doesn't sound all that much but keep in mind 200 kids! Hehe.

And I gotta admit I'm still trying to connect face with name! I don't want to draw a blank face in my memory!

I've got students named Ragul, Raghul, Rahul. And Prakash and Rakesh. And don't mention my Chinese kids' whose names I'm still trying to pronounce right!

Some names you can't tell if it's a boys or girls name and I'm scared I'll get mixed up talking about a girl when their child is a boy or something like that!

Oh God help me!

:D

But it's going to be an experience for me and i know I'll survive and get through this.

Don't I always? ;p
