Baby Clothes & Maternity Wear

This was baby's first clothes gift!  This was from our housing Agent.

Around 21 weeks into my pregnancy I started feeling tight, constricted and almost fainted from my clothes so I prayed that I could find some good and affordable maternity clothes. Then I was in H & M at vivocity and there on a rack was a huge sale of maternity pants and they had many in my size! 3 pants and 2 tights for $30 for example the jeans was about $70 and it was on sale for $10.  Answered prayer indeed.

This top was from my colleague Bertina.

This is what maternity bottoms look like.  There is an extra cloth that stretches all the way to cover your belly.  You can see it from the pic of the pants above.  Normal pants would only go until you waist or below.

The rest of the pictures I'm just trying out some of my maternity clothes.  I found another maternity shop called Springs Maternity and they have good sales too.  So that's where I got my tops from.

This is my latest buy just a week or 2 ago.  I only wear maternity now as all my other clothes are too tight.  The tops here were all on sale.  As in 50-7-% off.  I HAD to buy maternity bras.  I needed good bigger bras because I almost fainted the other day from my bras being too tight.  These ones are so comfortable and the cheapest I've found so far.  It's amazing that God can provide and cares about such things for me too!

Hi Baby! It's a boy!

What a miracle.  It's so amazing that this "thing"  this boy and child.  My son.  Our son.  is growing inside of me.  I'm so excited to meet him.  It's pretty surreal.  I thank God that so far everything is going well and he is healthy and fine.

Normally you can tell the gender at around 16 weeks.
But for us the doctor  could tell us it was a boy at 13 weeks!

Baby shower

I didn't expect to be back home again after my June trip.  I really wanted to see my family and friends while still expecting/showing and somehow God answered my prayer.  HIs timing is always perfect.  Bayu had a seminar in the beginning of November that fell on a Monday and Tuesday.  Somehow those two days I was also on school holiday!  So we booked our tickets to arrive on the Friday before.  So we were there for about 4 days.  It was short but oh so sweet.

I was about 6 months pregnant so I had a belly showing and my family and friends were able to see it hehe.  My sister, Jyn and Dolly planned a baby shower for me.  They wanted to make it a surprise but I knew about it.  It turned out so wonderful and memorable.  I couldn't have asked for anything more.  I have all the pics in my facebook album but here are some.

Joy made the invitatons and the banner.  Dolly made the cupcakes! They also planned the whole thing - games and decorations and all.  So blessed and happy.

Before Now

After all these years...God has led me to the right Dr to help me with my acne fighting.   The first shot was taken around March this year I believe and the second one 2 weeks ago.  I was wearing makeup in the second picture but you don't see any bumps right??? and also I've grown alot tanner because I've been running in the sun so much.  Thank you Lord for my face with no acne pain and for my running tan!

Miracle

I just witnessed a miracle. That has happened to me! I must share it and record it here!

My EZ-Link card which is used to travel was empty on the way back home (no $$ in the card). I had to buy a temporary card which caused $3.10. I didn't have any cash with me except coins and I didn't know if it was enough!

I took out the coins and I though I saw only $3 but a tiny 10c was hidden among the 50c!

I had exactly $3.50 and I could I home.

Praise The Lord.

My Face

I am so thankful I only have my scars left.

I just need to continue my regiment and say bye bye to my painful acne.

Not Bad!

Hey I've been blogging consistently for the first 3 months of this year! Tap on my back yay. HAHA...

I've been having fun :)

06 March 2012

Start

Pictures at the beginning of the race. All these pics were taken by the official photographer.

Bayu in blue me in orange.

A lot of people are wearing the race shirts given to us. We didn't wear it because I read in a magazine for runners that to wear the race shirts are for rookies. Apparently, the culture in Singapore is different. Almost everyone wears the red shirts.

My Happy Face

I just found the pictures of my 10k race today from the official website of the race coordinators.

So I think it's my first time to see my happy face caught on camera for me to see HAHAHAHAHA.

These are pictures of Bayu and I crossing the finish line.

Smile with me!

This smile only comes at the beginning and end if the run. In between is more like :O :/ :S :'(

Beaming

I got my official race time and ranking result.

I ran my own race and I'm so happy with the results!

Official timing of 10k - 1:20:45
Ranking (women's) - 267/513

I feel so thankful :D

Tomorrow I'm doing children's story. The theme is :

"Trust is like a paper, once it's crumpled it can't be perfect again"

Accomplishment of my lifetime

I actually did it! I ran a 10k!

I finished in 1hr 20mins. My goal was to run/jog without walking and to finish no later than 1hr 30mins! Which i did . So I am proud of myself.

Bayu and I crossed the finish line together holding hands raised in victory. Hahaha. There was an official photographer so hopefully we will get to see that picture.

It really is so different running in a race and running on my own. The following quote may give you a little idea:

"there is something about the ritual of the race - putting on the number, lining up, being timed - that brings out the best in us." - Grete Waitz

There were a few thousand people there and it was just so exciting to see other people there for the same purpose.

I had fun checking out what shoes people were wearing hehe.

Running a long distance race is really not about winning somebody else but winning your own race against yourself and your mind, taking one breath and one step at a time

The weird/cool thing I noticed was that when running, you are with a huuuuge crowd of people but it's so quiet and you can just hear shoes against the pavement and people breathing. Everyone is really focused and in the zone.

It was just a wonderful experience. It was also really hot. We ran at 8.15 and I only train in the evenings so I wasn't used to that.

Well, those were my thoughts and feelings. I really never imagined I would enjoy long distance running.

I don't even know if this can be added to my "never say never" list because in the first place I never imagined it because it was beyond imagination!

Well, enough babbling. Here are some pictures: frank was with us too so that made it even more fun.

I didn't get any pictures during the run even though the view was really nice.

Oh yeah I was so excited and so happy with my accomplishment I rank it at the top with my wedding and graduation (or maybe I'm just crazy from runners high lol). I couldn't sleep last night too excited.

And the response on Facebook was really overwhelming and loving :)
