Short But Sweet - Saturday

As I mention in my next post, the post about my baby shower,  I was able to come home and visit for a few days.
Joy designed my baby shower invitations

She also came up with these cards

Oh and this was Friday night.  The night we arrived.  We were delayed for a few hours and even had to switch airplanes.  On our landing we also had really bad turbulence.  So it was a blessing in disguise that we switched to a working plane or who knows if we would have made it through that turbulence! (The engine of the first plane stopped working before we took off).

Heading to the park on Sabbath morning.

We spent Sabbath morning having worship and being together in the Queen's park.

That evening we had a birthday party for my nephew Vincent and also my cousin Suzette.

Baby shower

I didn't expect to be back home again after my June trip.  I really wanted to see my family and friends while still expecting/showing and somehow God answered my prayer.  HIs timing is always perfect.  Bayu had a seminar in the beginning of November that fell on a Monday and Tuesday.  Somehow those two days I was also on school holiday!  So we booked our tickets to arrive on the Friday before.  So we were there for about 4 days.  It was short but oh so sweet.

I was about 6 months pregnant so I had a belly showing and my family and friends were able to see it hehe.  My sister, Jyn and Dolly planned a baby shower for me.  They wanted to make it a surprise but I knew about it.  It turned out so wonderful and memorable.  I couldn't have asked for anything more.  I have all the pics in my facebook album but here are some.

Joy made the invitatons and the banner.  Dolly made the cupcakes! They also planned the whole thing - games and decorations and all.  So blessed and happy.

June Bkk Trip 1

So excited to go back home!  I got a suitcase on sale too!  First time to own the kind that rolls on all four wheels.

At the airport.  I went a week ahead of Bayu.  Products there like makeup is so much cheaper in the airport.  So I decided to do a little shopping there already.  That's always so fun. :P

Of course my first meal is MK!

I love holidays.  Especially back home.  I have time to wake up late, dress up and do my makeup.  I also don't have to bring so much clothes because I can use my sister's or my mom's clothes.

Pictures

Here are pictures from yesterday. After the whole day of relationship seminars I was able to eat at MK with my family.

I also found my favorite Thai snack. And my sister's cupcake. And swensen's ice cream. Mango flavor. Yum yum.

Home (Tonnes of Picts)

Here are some pictures of our simple home in Singapore. Nothing fancy but I'm getting used to this place, and I'm happy to have a place to rest my head and to call home. Now I can walk around the house without the lights on and I won't bump into anything. It's still kinda bare but I hope to go to IKEA sometime soon!

You guys...I'm so happy to be blogging again!

First of all, I'm so happy Bayu's mom is here to cook for us! This was breakfast today.

When you step in the door this is what you see. After the Arch is the kitchen and after the wooden chair after the blue sofa on the right there are our 2 bedrooms.

This is the living room but a view from the arch before the kitchen.
(Yes our door is green in color!!)

This is the guest room and Bayu's work room.

Across the work room is our bedroom.

This is the toilet connected to our bedroom.

This is the view of our bedroom from the toilet door.

You've seen our kitchen. Bayu's dad is cutting Bayu's hair!

More of hair-cutting and kitchen.

View from our kitchen window.

Our sink. The water filters were a gift from Pr. Mark Chan.

Washing machine! You can see how we hang clothes by scrolling up to the picture of the view from our kitchen window. You can see poles at the side of the buildings with clothes on them.
Just above the kitchen sink we have to long poles stretched across the ceiling where we also hang clothes there to dry.

At the right corner of our kitchen, near our window is the shower room. I stuck some Lilo and Stich stickers.

This is our bathtub...kidding!...it's our squatting toilet!!!

Okay, that's the house tour! I bet you still can't picture the exact lay out. You'll just have to drop by our simple household. You're always welcome!
