My Creative Writers

As I have mentioned in previous posts I teach an enrichment class which introduces creative writing and the use of technology.

It has been very challenging but fun and rewarding when their projects are completed.

Here is the latest one.

They wrote (dictated and i typed) about a trip that they would like to take. The title page the kids did it all on their own.

Cutie Cousins

This is Pheap's (one of my bridesmaids ad college friend) daughter on the right and her daughter's cousin on the left. They are playmates now.

Funny Bayu

This is Bayu in his super straight like a soldier pose haha. The moment our church service is over and it's almost time for lunch he takes off his necktie and folds up his sleeve :P

Insect?!

I have never seen this insect before. It flies too!

It was found on a church members car. Looks like some new species to me.

It looks cute but if it flew towards me I would scream and run away.

It's around as big as bayu's pointer finger.

God's creation is so cool! Like me :D

Plans

Never say never remember?

I said I would never home school my kids... But now deep in my heart of hearts I would love to homeschool my future children.

I need to pray alot for sure. Not just about this but about planning for a family.

Just going all out my dream of dreams is to have 3 children close of age that I would home school and who will always love, serve and obey God.

PW - Pastor's Wife

Yesterday Min Min added/invited me to a group on facebook called "Ministerial Spouses - Seventh-day Adventist (Shepherdess International)".

It was nice to read through the posts and read the experiences of different pastor's wives around the world.

I've been married to Bayu for almost 5 years now.  And yes, I've also been a Pastor's Wife for almost 5 years.

I still remember I resisted the whole being a shperdess thing.  But little by little, with much prayer and support from Bayu.  Meeting other PWs here I have come to accept and enjoy being in the ministry in this role.

One main reason for embracing my new life as a Pastor's Wife was the affect it has on Bayu.  My attitude and my reaction affects who he is and what he does.  So I am happy to be where I am and doing what I do because it affects Bayu positively and also because I want to serve my God.

Rest

Sometimes the most urgent and vital thing you can possibly do is take a complete RESt. Happy Sabbath!

Fat Boys

All the food you see I didn't eat it myself haha. Once again Simon introduced us to a new place.

I ordered the vegetarian burger. Instead of patty meat it's ports bello mushroom.

More Food?!

After a long full Sabbath day off we went for dinner.

We ate at a great Indian place which was unique from others because the curry and other food was actually spicy!

Then we ate at a dessert place called Dessert Bowl. This was all around Serangoon Garden.

For dessert i tried the mango pomelo and the durian mousse (!!) which I share with Bayu of course haha.

Thankful Trying

Sometimes work, stress and events seem to be so overwhelming and I am so tempted to dwell in all the negativity. But then I tell myself to look around (not just literally) and I know thy there is still so much to be thankful for. I don't want my negativity to fog up all the blessings. Also, I'm trying to make it a point where when I talk to my friends or others around me it should be positive talk. Not just complaints complaints ... It will not only lift up my spirits but their spirits too.

Milestone

I ran my first half marathon! (-aka 21Km or 13.1 miles)

Thank you God for the strength you gave me and my friend who ran beside me :)

Nature Walk

We had a Sabbath afternoon nature walk at Fort Canning Park.

We spent a few hours enjoying the nature and each others company.

I organized this walk as I'm part of te social committee and I Praise God it went well.

Princess

My friend's baby girl. We get pictures of her through whatsapp and though we havnt met her yet, her uncles and aunties simply adore her!

Shepherdess Meet-Up

We have around 15 Sheperdess including wives of Union workers here in Singapore. We try to meet as a whole group a few times a year.

We have also been divided into
3 or 4 smaller groups in which we can communicate with each other more often.

Yesterday the group I was in met at at Dr Pik Yee's house. We had a short sharing them prayer for each other. After that we mad a scrapbook picture each with Dr Pik Yee's materials. It was fun.

We then shared some recipes and cooked together and ate together. We spend around 4 hours altogether.

I used to resist such gatherings but I have learned and come to enjoy it as well as the company of the ladies.

Waffleicious

After our run the other day this is what Bayu and I ate.

Their menu is interesting. I ordered the Bannana waffle and Bayu the blueberry waffle. They mix the fruit into the waffle batter. Their ice cream is gelato which is 90% fat free.

Yummy & Healthy

Here is a drink I discovered.

It tastes really good. You can taste the soy milk so if you don't like soy milk then it's bots for you.

It's a strawberry shake made from Greek yoghurt, soy milk, oats and strawberry.

Air Force Museum

Today I brought Bayu to the air force museum. We spent a few hours there and of course he loved it.

It's a really big and nice place and entrance is free. They open from 10am-5pm.

I knew about this place because my school brought the kids there.

Bayu was like a wide-eyed kid himself haha.
